Future Plans

When we purchased The Fort Loudon Inn May of 2006, we had so many ideas, so many plans. History tells us that this building has been around for a good many years. Over the 200 year span there have been additions and renovation by probably every owner. As it stands now, it has 11 efficiency apartments and the common areas of the Inn that we are renting out for events of all sorts. As old as this building is, we knew we were in for some serious projects. When we began renovating, one thing lead to another and our ideas have since been put on the back burner.

Renovations

Since purchasing the Inn we have renovated the common areas, added 3 decks, we had new concrete sidewalks and a patio poured, replaced all the old doors and windows, updated plumbing, added additional laundry facilities for the tenants. We have added additional parking in the rear of the building, painted all the efficiency units and put in new flooring/carpeting. We have chopped down a few vine infested trees, & did some minor landscaping. I know there is probably something I forgot but you get the picture. The exterior of this grand old building is still in need of a bit of work. OK more than a bit but in the future we hope to get estimates on the stucco and the siding repair work that need to be done. This will be a huge project and it may take a bit of time to figure out how to fund this but we will get it done. With a building this large and this old, something will always need to be repaired or updated. We will continue to update and make the necessary repairs until it is has all been done and then it will just be a matter of maintaining it.

Ongoing Remodeling

We still have big plans and we will keep working hard to achieve our goals. It may take a bit more time than originally planned, but the end result will be well worth the wait.

The Fort Loudon Inn has the potential to be something really special! It is already a special place to us and if you are ever in the area you must stop in. After your visit, we are certain you will pass on the word that this is truly a welcoming down home kind of place and you won't find a better bang for the buck if you're looking for a place to host an event of any sort.
